Launch of the Tourism Business Incubator in Salt
A New Initiative by Jordan Heritage under the USAID Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa)
As part of the USAID Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa), Jordan Heritage has launched the Tourism Business Incubator in #Salt. This new program supports micro and small enterprises with a focus on sustainable tourism development.
The incubator recently began its intensive three-month program, welcoming twenty entrepreneurs from home-based businesses and micro and small tourism enterprises selected from the central governorates: Amman, Zarqa, Balqa, and Madaba. Through this program, participants engage in cultural heritage, tourism, and business management training, complemented by specialized technical and operational support.
The Tourism Business Incubator in Salt is among the first of its kind in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, dedicated to empowering local tourism enterprises. In addition to training, the incubator provides a comprehensive incubation program, offering fully equipped workspaces and office services for participating entrepreneurs.
This initiative reflects USAID and Jordan Heritage’s commitment to fostering sustainable tourism and heritage preservation, supporting local enterprises to build culturally conscious and economically resilient tourism practices across Jordan.
