A Cultural Heritage Training Initiative by Jordan Heritage under the USAID Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa).

As part of the USAID Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity (Iqlaa), micro and small enterprises participating in the Tourism Business Incubator recently took part in a field visit to heritage buildings in the city of #Salt.

Organized by Jordan Heritage, these visits are an essential part of the cultural heritage training offered to these enterprises. This initiative provides participants with best practices in the maintenance and restoration of heritage buildings, along with practical insights into the principles of cultural heritage preservation across different schools of thought.

This program underscores USAID and Jordan Heritage’s commitment to empowering local businesses by deepening their understanding of sustainable tourism and heritage conservation. Through Iqlaa, these field visits foster a deeper connection to Jordan’s rich cultural heritage, promoting sustainable and culturally conscious tourism.
